Welcome
locals & Silver State visitors!
I'm Jeff Young, the editor & publisher of Nevada Players Club. After hosting TV & Radio shows across the nation and around the world for many years, I decided to permanently park my headphones in Southern Nevada in 2019 and establish Las Vegas as the headquarters of Nevada Players Club. As of Spring 2025 we are also the online home of the Nevada Locals Club.
Our original goal at NVPC was to help you plan your Nevada adventure by providing convenient one-stop access to key information you need to help make decisions about when & where to visit. We've broadened our scope now, as you will see.

Beyond just visiting, if you've made your home in the Silver State - or are thinking of doing so - this site is for you, too. Now, more than ever.

In addition to offering essential travel-related info, we provide guidance on what to do once you arrive, and how best to assimilate if you've planted yourself here for the foreseeable future. Our focus for short time visitors includes casinos and play strategy, as well as reviews of dining options and a variety of recreational activities throughout the Silver State.
If you are moving here, there is a lot more to consider, including certain responsibilities you won't want to overlook. New residents must obtain a Nevada driver's license and register their vehicle within 30 days of arrival. You'll find a link to the Nevada DMV on our Nevada Lifestyle for Locals page.

We've added a page for job seekers, too. Watch the purpose and scope of these new pages grow and evolve. If you visit them occasionally, you'll notice the difference. Your suggestions welcome for these and any other page on our site.

If you do nothing else on this site, I encourage you to read our blog: "Hey, Player - having fun yet?" to learn ways to maximize your Silver State playtime, while minimizing temptations & threats.

We produce videos of visits to hotels, casinos, restaurants, and a variety of places people love to play in the desert, parks, canyons, & hillsides of Nevada. There's more to see and do in the Silver State than you may realize. We're not trying to be "influencers". We're not a "slot channel". We're just sharing our experiences.

We're looking to explore new angles with our videos. What would interest you most? If there is something or somewhere in particular you want us to cover - or uncover - let us know.

You'll find our short series "Casino Gambling Best Practices" and more on our Home and Video Extras pages.
Check Nevada weather forecasts and area web cams at the top of our home page. You'll find links to a bunch of Vegas maps there, too. Roads, places to play, and even site maps of almost two dozen casinos - all provided by the good folks at Ontheworldmap.com, producer of free printable maps.
Review state & local traffic conditions with live cams on our Navigating Nevada page, which is also the place to check air fares, bus schedules,
resort & parking Fees, find nearby EV charge points, the lowest gas prices and more.

Have a hankerin' to get hitched? Sober up (if necessary) and check our Trip Advisor provided list of Wedding Chapels in Vegas.

Read our blog posts or Stories, then submit your own stories, comments or questions.
Explore our drop-down or pop-up menus at the top and bottom of every page for access to all our features, including Yelp lists of Nevada's top casinos & places to grab meals around the Silver State.

Browse one or more of our NVPC Shops for everything from mugs to caps, t-shirts to tumblers, tote bags, cell phone cases and more.

Find a Favorite Slot Machine, watch Live Keno Draws, review Game Rules & Instructional Videos, Play Games Just for Fun, and find links to Sports Books & legal online games.

WHERE CAN I BUY LOTTERY TICKETS?

Lottery tickets are not for sale in Nevada. Players must leave the Silver State for tickets. As a courtesy, we link to the Arizona, California, and Idaho lotteries, since they serve bordering states reachable within an hour, give or take, of the Nevada line.
Our drop-down and pop-up menus include links to the Lotto Store at Primm and the Last Stop Travel Center in White Hills, AZ, about 70 miles east of Vegas.

The Primm store on the CA-NV border, about 43 miles west of Vegas, is open 10am-5pm most days (check the link for updates). Last Stop is always open, however, lottery tickets are NOT sold in AZ between Midnight & 4am, not even from a vending machine, as mandated by state law.
From Reno, the nearest California Lottery sales locations are in Floriston and Truckee. From Lake Tahoe, NV, cross over the state line into South Lake Tahoe, CA for tickets sold in over a dozen locations, including 7-11's, gas stations, liquor stores, and Safeway supermarket. Find more locations here.
The Idaho lottery outlet closest to Nevada is in Hollister, about 27 min. north of Jackpot, NV.

View our videos "Big Bucks Border Run 1 (AZ) " and "Border Run 2 (CA)" to see where we go to buy tix when the jackpots are huge.

Use these links to check your Mega Millions, Powerball, and California SuperLotto Plus tickets to see if you won.

If you believe we should add or remove a link from our site, if you spot an error or potential problem of any kind, or if there is anything else you want to discuss, please let me know.

Thank you for visiting the site, and for watching (and hopefully subscribing) to our YouTube channel and for checking us out on Facebook and X.
